My Project

Sensory rooms provide a safe and supportive space for neurodivergent and disabled students to escape the potentially overwhelming environment of a busy classroom. This encourages those students to succeed socially and academically and can provide them with tools and coping skills to learn more effectively.

I am blessed to have found a career that fills my heart with so much love.

I am on my second year teaching but my first year teaching ESE in a middle school. I decided to try out summer school and immediately fell in love with the school and the job. These kiddos are the sweetest souls and are just filled with so much light.

Middle school can be very busy and loud for all students but especially students who are neurodivergent. I want to give them a space that allows them to regulate those overwhelming emotions so that they are able to be happy and excited to learn.
