Help me give my students the diverse texts they need in the classroom and the technology accessories to keep them engaged in the remote work that will make them successful in this 21st century learning environment.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The community that my students come from is based around the school community. This helps keep everyone involved in the learning process. Since many of my students receive bagged food on the weekends and above 98% of students receive free lunch, we try to hold breakfasts and lunches at the school to get that table time feeling that a lot may not get at home. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. The students in my classroom are always ready to learn. As we start off the new year with not knowing what it will bring, I want to make sure that the supports that are needed for them are in place right away so that we are able to move all students to benchmark and start off running.
These students are the future of America and each of them deserves the best opportunities to learn.
Most students are non-English speaking and come from many different countries. This diversity is what makes our classroom so special and gives new learning experiences to each other. These students really do deserve to achieve their highest goals next year!
My Project
Lessons will be formed around social-emotional and diversity conversations with the use of the read aloud books, such as The Name Jar, to help students transition back into the classrooms in the new wave of learning that this year will bring. These resources will also help students maneuver technology with the use of the headphones and iPad pens to make it more accessible for students. This will help with fine motor skills and learning to type.
With this new year of the unknown, it's important to have the resources necessary for students and teachers to be prepared.
These resources will help bring the students together even when being apart. Thank you for your interest in this project and this will help make this year a bit easier.
