My Project
With writing instruction on the backburner of curriculum for many years, I have tried to incorporate more into my classroom in various ways. My students have currently begun recording themselves reading quick stories so their classmates can view them.
I would love to give each student a blank journal to have them create and publish a book of their own poems this spring.
We will cover types of poetry later this year, and my students will write many different types of poems. An illustrated book of their work would be the perfect keepsake as well as an engaging way to incorporate their poetry standards.
