This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
My students are awesome!
They are full of life and energy. I teach first grade at a Title I school. My class is diverse; some students live with their grandparents, some are military families, some live with one parent, and some struggle to find permanent housing. Although all of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch, my students have an amazing drive to learn.
My Project
I am asking for an iPad Pro to enhance my lessons. I want to expand my students' perspectives of the world around us. I want my students to experience everything current technology has to offer! The iPad Pro has a huge screen that would be able to project anything I want to show my students. I can use it as a "mini-Smartboard," while they interact with the iPad. Students can play educational apps in a whole group setting. The screen is big enough for my whole class to watch books being read, play math games, and so much more! Technology is constantly changing and I want to be able to provide opportunities for my students to experience and learn from it.
Your donation will help my students learn from technology.
The iPad Pro has a big screen that will make it easier for my students to watch educational videos, research about India, practice telling time, learning about the weather in other countries, and so much more. This technology will be able to transport my students to places far away and expand their knowledge by researching information, watching videos, and playing educational apps. "Knowledge is power."
