My Project
We live in a world where everyone is different but we build systems for people who are all the same. This year, our school is making a major shift in inclusive learning and having all students spend as much time as benefits them with their same age peers in regular classrooms.
There are many amazing benefits to more inclusive classrooms but students need more tools to access their learning in these new spaces.
Some of the tools that we still need are games for building social emotional skills, play skills, and turn taking. We also have students who are still working on basic letter/sound connections and multi sensory tools will help them to engage in their learning.
Please help me to give students with disabilities multi sensory learning tools to use in class rooms… And create a school library about different types of learning differences, disabilities, and ways to begin to have discussions with students of all ages about what living in a world where everyone is included really looks like and how we make it possible!
