Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom, like the rest of the world, is a rainbow of different cultures that deserve to be celebrated.
As our Special Day Class continues to develop empathy and understand different perspectives, books become a major tool to open conversations about our differences and how to support one another.
I firmly believe that the first step is to share stories that promote more ethnic and cultural diversity in our classroom.
By doing so, I hope to instill a love of reading in my students by creating a more inclusive environment through storytelling.
Every story is a chance to grow and learn, help us take the next steps!
