This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of 23 students, where the majority are English Language Learners whose parents have come to the USA from different parts of the world. I realize that having a diverse group of students means recognizing that they all are unique in their own special way. Each with their own mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Whatever their differences may be one thing they all have in common is their interest in technology. They love to see their educational resources online, then print them out to use. This makes reading, math, science and all the subjects more meaningful to my students.
My Project
As technology has rooted its way into our everyday existence, education has been changed as technology can be used to improve teaching and learning and help our students be successful. It's important to provide the best possible environment for learning, and colorful posters and walls make the learning environment more fun and engaging. There are now thousands of free online resources that help teachers save money and still give students the amazing educational resources and educational experience they deserve.
Visual aids are especially important for young learners and it's proven that when learning is fun, students are more relaxed and engaged, and information is more likely to make its way into the long term memory.
As educational technology advances at lightning speed, teachers are gaining more opportunities to up the fun factor. Make my classroom the place to be, and allow my students to fall in love with learning.
