The Wondrous Magic of a Spinning Potter's Wheel

Help me give my students the opportunity to experience and practice clay making with a professional potter's wheel.

My Project

My students love hands on activities where they can feel accomplished with their newly acquired knowledge and the physical aspect of holding in their hand what they have created. They have had a minor experience with clay and are so excited for another opportunity to do so as well as to get to build upon what they already know with the next step of working on a potter's wheel.

Teaching my students to create with confidence and perseverance will push them forward with their art making and in life as they learn to continuously try again and push themselves to be better.

Their skills with clay will only increase as they combine what they already know about hand building with the new tools and knowledge that can be taught with a wheel.

Our school is a community of acceptance and love and within that community, my students are makers and fixers and innovators who would be so stoked at the opportunity to create beautiful and usable pottery to share within our larger community of their friends and families.
