Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

To help our students become 21st century learners, we need to provide them with many different ways to learn with technology, especially focusing on science, engineering, and math. Super Science magazines and online content will help to do that. Safety goggles will protect my students' eyes.

My students attend an urban school.

They are very culturally diverse. Many of my students are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. They are eager to learn and have a strong sense of discovery. Due to limited funding sources, my students do not have as many opportunities to travel beyond their neighborhood. SuperScience career series and articles on engineering marvels will give my students insight into the ways science, technology, and math are essential parts of their everyday lives.

My Project

My students need their own SuperScience magazine subscriptions so they can experience the wonders of science through nonfiction texts. Super Science articles report science breakthroughs that are too new for the textbook. The career series and articles on engineering marvels will give students insight into the ways science, technology, and math are essential parts of our everyday lives. Hands-on activities, online components, exciting nonfiction and riveting photographs are included in each subscription. Safety goggles will protect the eyes of my students while conducting experiments. Students will feel the joy of hands on experiences while wearing the goggles.

Without this resource, it will be difficult to help my students realize how STEM impacts their lives every day.
