My students need lab coats to be able to protect their clothes when we are doing our experiments, and the duck tape, glue and crystal growing kit for various experiments.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
You learn by doing... the students in this science class are going to be creating projects that help them learn and live science. We need materials to be able to make science hands-on, as it should be.
My students are from a low-income community in the Houston area.
They are very active and creative students that love thinking outside the box. Projects and laboratories are the way to reach my students so I need your help to provide them with activities that will help them understand and learn science the right way.
My Project
I am requesting lab coats because feeling like scientists helps perform better in science class. Think about a football team without uniforms... well my students need to know they belong to my team, the science team. I am also requesting duck tape and glue. Duck tape will be used to make rockets that we will use during two of our units, the space unit and the force and motion unit. The glue will be use to create foldables, big books and models that will serve us as tools for learning.
Our students are the future, let's build our future by helping them achieve beyond their dreams.
Help me show my students that they matter to the world, that we believe that they will be great!
