The WHS Yearbook Program Needs Cameras

Help me give my students cameras for capturing memories for the Yearbook and learning about photojournalism.

My Project

Yearbook has always been a fun class where students learn about production and design. They also learn about photography and writing through hands-on work. The yearbook is a memory book filled with moments captured by students. These moments are important and should be captured well.

Cameras are essential to the production of quality yearbooks and the education of students of photojournalism; however, the yearbook program at WHS does not have cameras to be used to capture the precious moments for the yearbook.

Currently, we use our cellphones to capture these monumental moments. We need at least two fully optimized cameras to be used at sporting events and active performances, and four digital cameras to be used within the school during regularly scheduled activities. These cameras will be used to document the school year and create outstanding yearbooks that are worth the price.

By donating to this project, you will be supporting the WHS yearbook program by giving the students the materials necessary to complete great yearbooks for years to come. These cameras will reinvigorate the program, add a level of professionalism to our projects, and give the students the chance to learn more skills in photojournalism.
