Help me give my students the incentive of learning how to play and read music on a sustainable electric keyboard so that they may know the joy of playing music.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students represent the classic underdogs. No silver spoons or easy handouts. They come from all walks of life with one goal...graduate high school. Not all will go to college. Some will enter the workforce, while others the military, and for some, hopefully, a college education.
My students are the kids that get lost in the system and want nothing but a better life for themselves.
They battle and scrap knowing they have something to prove to the world. When they graduate, they truly believe that anything is possible because for so long, they thought it wasn't.
At my school, students are given a chance to overcome their past mistakes without judgement. And in the end, isn't that what its all about.
My Project
A large percentage of my students come from school systems that failed them. Especially in the musical arts. Most have never learned or even had the chance to play a musical instrument until they come to our school for the first time. We here at Edward A Reynolds West Side High School aim to give them an education that helps develop the "whole" student. Music is so important in that manner.
Thanks in large part to our longtime music teacher, Mr. Albert Bouchard, music has been given importance at West Side.
I wish that to continue with these keyboards. These keyboards would replace many of our older broken ones and thus give our kids the right tool in order to play properly.
