My Students
I remember how much I loved having books to read as a child. My students are new readers, and eager to become voracious readers as they progress in their reading skills. We need class sets of books that children around the world enjoy reading. We need to become avid readers.
My students are my hope for the future.
They are bright, energetic, and eager to learn. They love learning to read; I want to instill a love of reading that I grew from their age forward. My students are at different reading levels, but deserve equal opportunities when it comes to high-interest reading materials. I want to reach out to my students through my love of books, and share with them how much fun it is to read a really good book.
My Project
My students need chapter books, such as Junie B. Jones, First Grader, Magic Treehouse series, and books on CD to enjoy during literature circle time.We are requesting twenty four copies of Junie B. Jones books, and Magic Treehouse books. We are ready to move beyond picture books and start new reading adventures TODAY! My students work hard to learn all they need to learn, each and every day. I think if they could hold their own copy of a book during literature circle time, they'll really grow a love of reading. I think having your own book to read instills a love for books.
As a First Grade teacher, I know how important it is to become a reader in the First Grade.
I want my students to become successful, lifelong learners, one book at a time. They inspire me to be a better teacher, and help to get them the books they so need and deserve.
