My Project

In our classroom, my students come from a variety of backgrounds and have unique learning needs. Many are eager learners who thrive in small group settings, especially when given individualized attention. Some need additional support in mastering foundational skills in reading and math, while others are ready for enrichment opportunities to stretch their thinking.

A kidney table will allow me to work closely with students in targeted groups, giving each child the same space and support they need to grow academically and emotionally.

The goal of this project is to provide a dedicated space for small group instuction where focused learning can take place. This kidney table will support differentiated instruction, encourage students' engagement, and foster relationships. Lastly, the kidney table will be used daily during small group rotations. During guided reading, students will meet with me at the table to work on phonics, comprehension, and fluency. In math, I'll use the space to reinforce foundational concepts will manipulatives and visual aids.
