My Students
Physics is provides an amazing opportunity to describe and explore the world in a new way. But without the right tools, the frustration of the calculation overshadows the thrill of understanding.
My students are following the thought processes of Sir Issac Newton and are developing the language and understanding to follow Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
They are hands-on, minds-on and looking to extend their application to the world around them. We are a group of scientists-in-training and we want the means to be the best we can.
My Project
With these graphing calculators, my students will be able to manipulate the equations and move beyond the paper and pencil calculations and into the discussion and meaning behind those numbers. TI-83's are a tool that will be useful in the sciences and math courses.
Tools like calculators are often overlooked in the sciences, but they truly help level the field for students so they have the time to explore, discuss, and connect their learning with each other.
