My Project

The Therapy Reward Cart is a motivational tool I would like to utilize in therapy to encourage my clients to actively participate in therapy, practice coping skills, and build positive habits. Clients will “earn” points or therapy dollars by completing therapeutic tasks (e.g., using a coping skill, writing affirmations, reaching goals). They can then use these points to choose a snack or small reward from the cart.

This snack cart will help reinforce positive behavior change, skill-building, and emotional regulation.

It will bring therapy principles into real-life practice by connecting effort and growth with tangible, immediate reinforcement. Research shows that positive reinforcement increases motivation, engagement, and follow-through in therapeutic settings. For many clients—especially children and teens having concrete rewards make the abstract work of therapy feel real, achievable, and rewarding.

I am seeking donations to help stock the cart with snacks and small rewards such as individually wrapped snacks, juice boxes, small fidget items, and sensory toys.

A small donation can help support the mental health progress of multiple clients.

Your donation directly supports a healing, hopeful environment where clients feel seen, motivated, and empowered. This cart is more than snacks; it’s a vehicle for growth, connection, and change.
