This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students can be described as intelligent, courageous, charismatic and innovative! Although, only in sixth grade they are discovering who they are and who they want to be. Regardless of their obstacles, it does not get in the way of thriving and using any form of resource to achieve it.
"Si se puede!" translates to "Yes you can!" This is a powerful statement my students say to each other to get motivated.
Their spirits are so contagious.
Their lives are surrounded by broken dreams and families. Their safe haven is our classroom, where they can forget about their worries and focus on becoming a kind human being.
My Project
As we look into our future, we can easily predict that careers will have to do with technology in one way or another. By allowing students to enter this world prepared and knowledgeable of the possibilities puts everyone at ease. My students use iPads on a daily basis and are always wondering how can we take this lesson to the next level?
Technology doesn't replace learning, but enhances their experiences to a new level!
When they hold a brand new stylus, it will remind them that they can be professionals and act like scholars and mathematicians. They will become motivated to change the world around them with a simple tool.
