My Students

If only every week could be like the first week of school...freshly stocked supply bags and table caddies brimming with daily supplies. Unfortunately, those days are long gone.

I have a wonderful group of 4th graders who thrive on variety in their daily learning.

From using whiteboards to show their thinking to creating foldables as study aids in science, they enjoy learning that takes place away from reading texts and writing notes.

My Project

It seems as the year has gone on, fewer and fewer supplies are available to do these activities. We always joke in class that the "supply monster" has struck again and now we are down to 2 glue sticks to share. Some of my students do still have these needed supplies, but to make the lessons go more smoothly, more students need to have access to dry erase markers and glue sticks.

To be able to have all students have working dry erase markers, glue sticks and pencils would really help to move activities progress more quickly.

Having to find a student to help others or stop and wait for the 2 glue sticks to be passed around often set the lessons back. Having these materials would make all of our lives easier and more productive during the day.
