My Project
The students are the heart of my classroom! I want to continue to instill in my students that they are someone special. I have several social emotional learning and academic projects that I want to do that will strengthen their sense of belonging to the classroom and academic progress.
The first project is a personalized bag tag for each student in the classroom to show that they belong to our classroom.
The bag tag will be personalized with the student's name, room number, favorite colors, and charms that show the student's interests.
Another project to promote the social emotional learning for my students is creating a personal art piece on canvas bags. The students express their feelings through their art piece and having it on the canvas bag makes it a permanent useable keepsake.
The final social emotional learning project is making sure the students feel extra special on their birthday. Each student will be presented a gift bag on their birthday from their teacher and classmates. The gift bag will contain small stationary items and fidgets.
The classroom will also benefit from having materials to help with various academic projects. The materials needed are jingle type bells, different types of colored pens, plastic clipboards, paint, velcro markers, and name plates.
