it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be teaching Kindergarten and First Grade next year. It will be an exciting teaching adventure! But....
Our classroom is in need of a soft and cozy, reading chair!
This chair will be used by our students to sit when they share out their stories. This chair will be the perfect resource to ensure my students feel comfortable as they work on their storytelling skills while sitting in a cozy chair. They will be working on their oral skills by sharing out their daily and weekend experiences and also reading their school made books and stories.
This Ikea chair will be used by students to sit and cozy up with their book during independent reading time. The chair will also be used for students to share out their important news and presentations. I will also be using the chair during whole group instruction; especially for the literacy block.
This Ikea chair will be a well used and well loved piece of furniture in our classroom to encourage the love of storytelling!
