My students need a listening center with headphones to listen to the weekly stories, background information, and songs that go along with our reading series.
Help give students the listening equipment needed.
I teach second graders all subjects at a low socio-economic school.
I brought my daughter's small CD player to the school to use in my classroom. However, it is not compatible to play the CD's that came with the reading series. Also, we only have two sets of headphones that work. My students do not get the opportunity to listen to the background information that is recommended by the state department due to lack of equipment (listening center).
I need this listening center with headphones in order to fulfill the requirements for me as a teacher and for the students. The students will have background knowledge when reading their stories and activities.
You will make it possible for my students to gain prior knowledge of what will take place in the story every week. This will help with students understanding and comprehension of stories.
