My Students

My classroom of almost-third graders are inquisitive, constructive, problem-solving scholars, whose brains think and mouths speak as much as their bodies move. This group of scholars in particular learn best when they talk through scenarios and are free to explore the world around them. Their excitement around learning new information or applying what they learned inside the classroom to the outside world around them is what excites and motivates them to do their best work and deepest thinking.

Minds were in motion this year, as my scholars jumped into books, investigated their way through Science, and traveled the world in Social Studies, and there is no stopping or slowing them down now as we loop together to third grade!

My Project

iPads in the classroom will help students kick off a year with project-based learning. I have partnered with colleagues of mine to create and implement a creative and innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) curriculum that we will be implementing into our school year.
