Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At my school, we serve a very underprivileged group of individuals. These young ladies and gentlemen come from broken homes with little money (school is 100% free lunch). They have very little to look forward to and that is something that I try to change within the walls of my classroom. I believe that through your help my room can become a refuge for those students who see education as their way out of this downward spiral. In addition, I want my room to be a place where people who don't like education can eventually start to turn themselves around before they go to high school.
My Project
Electronic flight management could lead to job opportunities for many of my students. Whether in agricultural adjustments, areal photography, surveillance, or military assault, learning to fly autonomous vehicles is the wave of the future. In addition this can be a fun activity and learning event for students to keep them out of trouble and off the streets during after school hours.
For this project I chose to purchase the Mavic Air Drone.
Its compact design and exceptional camera will allow my students to experience in full this new world of drone technology. This pack will include extra batteries, a carrying case to keep it safe, extra chargers, as well as extra propellers to keep flying even after many failed attempts.
