A new school year at my high school simply means new students and new classroom needs! My students are very eager to learn and I would like to accommodate and facilitate their needs to the best of my ability.
I am very new to DonorsChoose but I know of fellow teachers who have had projects funded for basic classroom needs and technology that works, so I would like to request a laptop for students who do not have access to technology at home.
I have a few students who need a mobile device, in order to complete assignments, projects, and assessments. I am also the chess coach and we need as many devices as possible, so that team members can compete in the weekly online tournaments held by the district's chess program. I want to be as inclusive as I can and do not want these students to not be able to participate when we are engaging in online activities.
I am requesting one laptop that has accessibility options suited for the students I have with special needs.
With another laptop, my students will be able to access online resources and complete class activities, projects, and assignments.
