The Simple Bare Necessities

Help me give my students all the basics that we use daily and run out of much too often!

My Project

When you think of school supplies, it's hard to put a price on what one classroom will go through each year. We get the basics from families like scissors, glue, pencils, etc. and then it is up to teachers to fund anything else needed throughout the year.

Supplies such as the following will be included in the project:

-Neon paper for letters to parents stand out much better in folders

-Personal laminator and laminating pouches because the lamination is expensive for our school to purchase and we have to use sparingly

-Sharpie markers for labeling student items & outlining our artwork

-Electric stapler to help with papers and cut down prep time

-Highlighters in fun colors to boost student engagement with finding text evidence in articles and stories

-Mr. Sketch Markers for making anchor charts to support our class learning

-Large Post-It Note tablets for creating anchor charts

-Pens for students to use when grading their work and for our class rewards of "write with a pen for the day"

I plan to put all of these items to use daily and the students will use them as well! One of our favorite things is using fancy highlighters to find text evidence and those types of exciting moments are funded out of my paycheck. We are so hopeful to get this project funded!
