Timicia, Kennedy, and other members of the drama club have come together to develop this project in order for the drama club to obtain the necessary materials to put on its first ever production. This club was established on request of the students and its success is dependent upon the acquisition of updated and functioning sound and lighting equipment. These students want to help establish a club that can be enjoyed by many students to come. These students are dedicated and eager to participate and it would be an incredible blessing for them to receive the equipment necessary to put on an incredible first production.
During my time with the students I have been slowly intdrocing them to musicals and operas. This has led students to go to local theaters and other community organizations and become more involved.
Students have shown interest in not only learning about the work that is put into putting on productions, but want to experience putt on productions. It is the students interest that has lead to the starting of a Junior High Drama Club.
Drama and Choir not only teach students ettiquite, confidence, and self worth; it teaches students about jobs that are available to them that are outside of the normal lawyer, doctor, or politcal positions that require a college education. From sound production, technology degree, or even music education.
By creating the WCJH drama club, I would be helping those students that are creative like me, the opportunity to express themselves in a way that we may not be able to express ourselves during the general education courses. The drama club is important to my school community because we have so many students that have so many talents that they are hiding. By having a dram club, the students will be able to show their skills of making backgrounds for plays, singing, dancing, and even directing. By having the drama club, there is a great possibility of cutting down behavior issues. The students will have a goal or incentive to work towards, considering that students will have to keep a certain required GPA and clean behavior report. By providing funds for the Drama Club, donors will be helping make a child's dream come true and possibly be assisting in tapping into unknown talents.

I will make the most of the leadership opportunity involving this project by giving kids a chance to express their interest in other things outside of academic classes. It very is important for students and the community to have something that is incredible and life changing for us.

This project is imortant and the changle that I see us solve is the kids feeling wanted or in an environment where they can do what they love and not feel judged about it because they are not alone. They can do anything together because we are like a family.
