My Project
My current class started kindergarten after the COVID-19 pandemic. Their reading skills are catching up to where they need to be, but they have specific needs in the area of phonics and phonemic awareness. The phonics readers and high-interest books at their reading level will give students the stepping blocks they need to become successful readers. In addition, the books align with the Colorado initiative to align reading instruction with the science of reading. The phonics/decodable books will ensure that instruction is individualized so that students can achieve!
