This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Advanced Placement Psychology and one of our units is on sound and hearing. So many of my students love music and yet there are no music class offerings available at my school. I would love to incorporate music into the learning process for my Psychology class through a series of projects focused on the perception of sound and the integration of music and sound and the vestibular system. What better way to create an experience than through a silent disco!! This project would offer the tools necessary to bring my vision to life!! I am asking for ten headphones and a transmitter to start--with dreams of a full class set down the road for the most memorable series of lessons on sound possible within the confines of my classroom!! Help makes this happen!!
