The School Counseling Take What You Need Cart for Students!

Help me give my students quick access to meaningful materials they may need to help make their day successful, possibly reduce stress and anxiety, cater to some simple needs, and promote positivity and compassion.

My Project

Introducing a "Take What You Need" cart within our school counseling program is a proactive step towards addressing the holistic needs of our students. By providing easily accessible, and commonly requested, resources such as stress balls, journals, motivational wristbands, motivational bookmarks, pens, pencils, calming strips/stickers, hand wipes, toothbrush/floss, mints, or other essential items, we aim to support their social, emotional, and personal well-being.

This initiative acknowledges that students may encounter various challenges throughout their day, and having these resources readily available can offer immediate relief or assistance.

Whether it's managing stress, expressing emotions through journaling, or simply needing a fresh toothbrush or mint, our cart aims to cater to diverse needs.

Moreover, the presence of the cart not only provides practical aid, but also fosters a welcoming and supportive environment within the school community. By meeting students in the morning with the cart, we not only offer tangible support but also create opportunities for engagement and rapport-building. Students are encouraged to utilize the cart not only for its contents but also as a gateway to accessing additional counseling services if needed.

We recognize that sustaining this initiative requires community support, and deeply appreciate your support of this project. Donations to our project will play a vital role in ensuring the cart is well-stocked and ready for the first day of school. Together, we can empower our students with the resources they need to thrive academically, emotionally, and personally. Thank you very much!
