Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project seeks to fund the purchase of literacy station materials from TPT. Teachers are hardworking, creative powerhouses, and I would like to purchase some games and support stations created by these educational geniuses based on the morphology of words.
By giving my students an engaging ways to play with language, they will become more comfortable breaking down the meanings of new and/or unfamiliar words.
The materials I plan to purchase with this project gift card will cover prefixes, suffixes, and root words. While many of my students have had exposure to these skills in the past, these stations and games will put the ownership more in the students’ hands (and long-term memory) and will engage their competitive natures in the games. My students play to win, so help them take their decoding skills to the next level.
