My students need four small portable camcorders that record to SD cards and offer high resolution.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Foster's classroom raised $880
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Catch our school's "Action News" live on today's Podcast. We are a small technical high school that focuses on technology related carers in a high needs community with declining state funding. We pride ourselves that despite the lack of funding we have the highest API scores in the County. We do this by focusing on relevant job skills and high academic standards.
I currently teach advanced Multimedia and we produce a weekly newscast in the studio that we built using old video equipment and computers from around the school. We have green screen capabilities and good video editing software as well as a few older huge video cameras that work well in a studio setting. We want to go out into the school and community and have the students capture different events and report them during our weekly newscast but our video equipment is too old and bulky to travel with the students effectively.
We need four small portable camcorders that have a high resolution and shoot at 60 frames per second. This will allow students to take the small camcorders to different events around school and the community and record them for our weekly newscast.
You will make it possible to mobilize and empower these student to capture the events that are shaping their futures and present them to a school and Internet audience. They will learn valuable job skills as well as become more involved with their peers and the local community.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
