Help me give my students proven, research-based tools to teach reading in early childhood. These skillsets will help children learning phonemes and graphemes with an emphasis on play-based learning.

My Project
The Reading Skillset is a set of manipulative materials that come highly recommended by early childhood literacy coaches. These sets include toys and games that support early literacy skills while making it fun and engaging. Children will learn and practice reading skills. They will learn through play, build and review skills, and gain confidence with books! It includes three parts that allow teachers to easily differentiate and challenge their students according to skills levels.
With the Reading Skillset, I can make literacy accessible and adaptive to meet the needs of my particular multilingual population of students.
Children learn best through games and in small intimate settings where they are explicitly taught skills and allowed time to practice. Part 1 will build phonetic awareness, part 2 builds words, consonants & digraphs, and opens the world of books, and lastly part 3 explores books beyond beginner skills.
I plan to use this toolkit for literacy development and hopefully, enable my students to master reading skills according to their developmental needs. This project will serve multiple skills levels and create true meaningful learning experiences.
