My Project

I aim to make my students more comfortable and confident with reading, as Covid has led to declining reading scores. By my students reading books that have characters that look like them can create an engaging environment, connects texts to real-life experiences, and offering diverse genres that can prompt discussions. Creating a vibrant environment where reading is valued, encouraging daily reading can increase confidences and social interaction to discuss what they have read , and enjoyable for all students.

Many of my students come from households that do not prioritize reading so making the books accessible in classroom will be beneficial.
