My Project
Battle of the Books is a competition in our state where students read 16 books and then compete against other students in the district. These books will allow our team members to each have a copy of the book to read in order to get prepared for the competition. We are able to use library funds for some books, but not all. While some students are able to purchase the books, others are not. We do not want any student to be discouraged from joining our team because they cannot afford the books. These books will put a book in each child’s hands so they can read it, discuss it, and become a lifelong reader.
