Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a community of diverse learners. Some have IEP’s, some with limited use of the English language, some both while others are considered “General Ed”. Let’s face it, this is Kindergarten and with the last year and a half learning remotely, they will all need help to succeed!
My Project
Due to covid, these new Kindergartners spent the entire last year at home learning remotely. I’m sure that the standard of reaching a level D by the end of Kindergarten will not be negotiable. The Elmo will help me deliver an excellent Shared Reading lesson. I will be able to enlarge the text so that everyone can see. The printer is so that I can either remediate or enrich in the moment. The leveled books are so that I can send home with them books at and above their reading level to support the work done in class.
