Our classroom library is constantly growing and changing to meet the reading trends of my fourth graders. Mrs. Huntsman's lending library is open to all! Graphic novels, picture books, nonfiction, novels...the list goes on and on and they're available to students past, present and future!
The pure joy of reading is seeing readers in a book, allowing their mind to wander through stories and ideas, and experiencing the unique connection with words and characters.
My hope is that my fourth graders will fall in love with reading time and time again and the way to their hearts is through the latest and greatest books. My vision is to surround my readers with an abundance of books, so they may read widely and freely as they choose to read the books they love!
Along with having books my fourth graders want to read, it's also great to have rewards available for my readers to celebrate reaching milestones in our learning community. My fourth graders love fidgets and gidgets from the reward cart. Not only does working toward a goal encourage my students to strive for excellence, but it also encourages them to read more. Thank you for helping make our classroom a rewarding place to be!
