My Project
As a continuation of our adolescent study on The Holocaust, students will be reading Art Spiegelman's Maus I and II and learning about Vladek Spiegelman's journey as a Holocaust Survivor.
Learning about survivors of the Holocaust will aid in our adolescent students empathy for this atrocity and will help enrich the age-appropriate content that they will be learning in both Social Studies and Language Arts.
Students will also have the opportunity to meet an adult child of a survivor from our local Jewish Federation and will be examining poetry from survivors as well as the role of bystanders and upstanders throughout this painful time in our world history.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
