My Students

"We are changing the world with technology." ~Bill Gates I have this same goal in mind for each of my students!

My class of fourth graders are energetic, creative, and dynamic thinkers who need 21st century tools to support their inquisitive minds!

They love to use a wide variety of technology but don't always have access to it. Our Title I school if full of kind and caring children with a wide array of learning styles, linguistic needs, and access to resources.

My Project

I envision my students being able to utilize our literacy, math and science online programs (such as Achieve3000, MobyMax, Google docs, and BrainPop) on a regular basis using the Chrome books. I also envision facilitating a lot more small group projects, writing workshops, and cross-curricular research using the technology. Using the Chrome books, students would learn standards aligned Language Arts, Math, and Science using the various curricular programs, as well as review and deepen their critical thinking skills. Most importantly, students would continue to grow their schema about various types of technology as it relates to Common Core Standards.

Donations to my classroom project will help improve students application skills for technology, strengthen core subject knowledge, and reinforce the importance of 21st Century skills.

Many of my students do not have regular access to laptops outside of the classroom and this can be a tremendous help!
