This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students deserve a diverse library. I have students from many different backgrounds. My students read at various reading levels, and have so many different interests!
With this generation of children, I'm really focused on developing literacy and the best way to do that is if students can see themselves in books they're reading.
My students have silent reading time and it's a peaceful time for them. I allow them to choose any book they see fit, and I've had a couple students go through my whole library over the course of the school year!
