This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work so hard overcoming learning challenges they have. They are so energetic and playful. While we always challenge them to work hard in the classroom, we also recognize the need to play and have fun when they are at recess.

Being able to run and play will help keep their minds focused when it is work time.

Recess is a great opportunity for kids to learn social and problem solving skills and how to appropriately interact with their peers.

My Project

My students are at risk due to adverse childhood experiences, poverty, etc. This often leads to a lack of proper social skills and the opportunity to just play and have fun because of the responsibilities or difficulties they may have at home. Being able to play sports and outdoor activities together will help their communication and problem solving skills.

We believe in the power of play!

Please support our students by providing basketballs and playground balls for them to use to interact with their peers. Help our students have positive social interactions at school and on the playground!
