This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Play is a critical component of effective STEM education, fostering a dynamic learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. In our STEM classroom, I integrate structured play to transform abstract concepts into tangible experiences, allowing my students to build, experiment, and collaborate in ways that traditional lecture-based methods cannot.

By engaging in hands-on activities with Play-Doh, my students develop a deeper, more intuitive understanding of complex scientific and mathematical ideas.

This approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also cultivates essential skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience, which are fundamental to success in future academic and professional pursuits. My proposed project will provide the necessary Play-Doh and resources/tools to expand these playful learning opportunities, ensuring every student has the chance to discover the joy and power of scientific inquiry and innovation.
