This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our energetic 4th graders are curious about science and love to discover how things work. All our students absolutely love to work collaboratively especially with hand-on learning activities. Each week our science teacher supports our class with exciting new ways to understand what they are reading about. Last week the 4th graders studied erosion and landforms using different materials such as chalk, pebbles, sand and water. They were so excited to share their deeper understanding of this topic and connect it to their research.
Solar Powered kits will not only teach our 4th graders how robots and computers work, but it is also a fun way to learn how to build something with your hands.
It is really important for all children to be exposed to STEM activities right now. It will support them in the future and help our environment by promoting sustainable energy at an early age.
