My Project

My students are doing a deep dive into the power of images. During the month of February they are focusing on the images created by Emory Douglas that helped to share the message of the Black Panther Party in simple yet evocative ways. They will be creating their own images that reflect how they see themselves now and their potential in the future.

Students will research and draw their own animal images to make buttons that reflect not only how they see themselves, but also how they want to be seen by others.
