My Project

My students are balancing the pressure of earning college credit while still navigating the emotional landscape of high school. In our dual credit English class, they work hard, but stress, anxiety, and the unknowns of their future can be overwhelming. That’s why I’m creating a calm, welcoming space in our classroom, complete with a cozy bean bag chair and sensory tools like fidgets and squishy stress balls to help students relax, refocus, and feel safe. I’m also providing a powerful resource: a book that walks them step by step through what every student should know about college, such as finances, time management, independence, and more. With your support, these items will nurture my students' minds and hearts, helping them thrive today and feel ready for tomorrow.
