Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 2nd grade in an urban school. My school has 80% English Language Learners and 90% receive free or reduced lunch.
Most of my students do not have access to a computer at home and we have only one computer in our class. It has been difficult to figure out how to use 1 computer with 21 students.
These two Netbooks (plus the computer we already have) will allow us to learn needed computer skills, improve our reading, and publish our writing. Additionally they will help us do research on the various topics we learn in 2nd grade like plants, insects, our heritage, fossils, community leaders, art, and music.
Thank you for taking the time to read this proposal. Any help you can give will ensure that my students are one step closer to the highest quality education they deserve.
