This is my first year as a teacher, getting the classroom set takes more than just paper and pencils. When entering a PreK classroom, students will engage in more hands-on learning activities, such as using sand in a sensory tub. Using the magnet shelves, marker display, and dry-erase boards will make smoother transitions to find the proper material needed.
My goal for this project is to start the year with many of the essentials I need to begin the school year.
Some of the materials will be on the back-to-school shopping list, but coming from a low-income area several parents are only able to buy the basics.
I have not yet met my students for the coming school year. But what makes my school amazing is it is the same school I went to as a child. I am very grateful to be able to go back and be able to give back to my community.
