This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students will be reading the first book in the Lockwood & Co. series, "The Screaming Staircase" to engage with a creative and fun work of literature. My goal with the project is for students to engage and use critical thinking as they read the novel with their table partners.

Students will engage with various reading questions, journal entries, and discussions based on their reading of the book in class.

By the end of the novel, the goal is for them to have a positive experience reading and an increased confidence in their ability to approach literature.
