Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to read however we do not have many comfy places in the classroom. My students love to learn. They face many challenges at home and even with everything they go through they still try hard to do their best at school. I teach them not only just academics but how to handle their built up anger and how to solve their problems on their own. Now at this time of the year they are able to tell their classmates how they feel and what they did that was bothering them. They love to read on the tablets and real books. They would prefer to do work on the floor with a clipboard or other places. I would love to have them be able to pick a place that is going to help them focus and learn better.
My Project
Flexible seating creates kids that are engaged, problem solving, creative, collaborative and so much more. It lets them choose a seat that is right for them for that day.
So many kids have trouble with controlling their urge to fidget with these different chairs and bands it can help them control that.
I know as adults it's hard to sit still for a while so as a kid with so much energy it's even more difficult. Please help me increase my classroom engagement by using flexible seating.
If kids love where they are sitting, then they will want to stay!
