My Project
My students love to learn new skills and come to school excited to learn. I wanted to share with them my love for chess.
Currently, my school is on a strict budget and cannot make the cost to purchase chess boards, but has allowed Chess to be taught in school as an after school club.
However students are learning the game through YouTube videos and on their chrome books. It’s not the same when they are unable to touch an actual board.
If students have access to the boards to learn how to properly set up a board and compete against one another their love for the game will become greater than mine. This game is a great resource to increase love for math, build confidence, and heighten their reasoning skills.
