This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read! They come to class ready to dissect good books. Every genre is their favorite! They have various different backgrounds, but they all share two things in common: 1) they love reading and 2) they love to learn. My students come from a small town and many do not travel outside the town. Books allow them to "travel" all over the world.

My classroom library is one place they all like to travel to but their options are very limited.

With new books in the library, my students will be able to choose from a variety of different books that interest them. Having more books will also allow each student to pick a book that is on their independent level.
